Hospitals/Schools

How spaces sound is often an unplanned consequence of their function.

The sound of our lived environment is a downstream side effect that is rarely designed for. The result can be cacophonous. At Good Audio we focus on projects where good can be done in the sonic environment. This means looking for easy wins to minimise harm, but also finding opportunities to be creative and playful. The way a space sounds has a huge impact on how it feels to inhabit it.

For Good Audio this potential for positive impact is most prevalent in Hospitals and Schools. How the patients, staff, students feel when they are in those spaces has a fundamentally crucial impact on their health, their wellbeing and their potential.

Good Audio has designed and implemented dynamic and immersive audio installations in Hospital Sainte-Anne in Paris, France (as part of a residency at IRCAM), and Arckway Secondary School in Glocs, UK.
